SF Environment Emergency Ride Home reimburses up to $150 for official taxi ride from work location to home in case of emergency. Eligibility: All employees age 18+ who work in San Francisco, and arrived to work by walking, biking, transit, scooter, or carpool on the day of the emergency. SF MTA Paratransit is a van/taxi program for people unable to independently use or access public transit because of disability/disabling health condition.

SF Access Van Service provides pre-scheduled, door-to-door ADA van services. Cost $2.50 one-way. Eligibility: unable to use Muni’s accessible buses, trains, or streetcars some or all of the time, without the aid of another person; unable to get to and from a bus or Metro stop or station; unable to independently use Muni or BART some or all of the time due to a disability. Paratransit Taxi & Ramp Taxi (alternative to the ADA-compliant SF Access van program) provides flexibility of prompt, same-day scheduling (usually taxis arrive in < 30 minutes of your request), subsidized fares via SF Paratransit Debit Card; for every $6 you contribute, SF Paratransit will load $30 value to your debit card. Eligibility: first be determined ADA-eligible for SF Access services. (SF Access riders who want to begin taking advantage of SF Paratransit Taxi services should contact the Mobility Management Center to learn more.) Paratransit Group Van is pre-scheduled van service providing door-to-door transportation to groups of ADA-eligible customers attending specific agency programs such as ADHC, senior centers, or work sites. Eligibility/Enrollment: Individuals must be determined ADA-eligible for SF Paratransit services, and attend agency program served by SF Paratransit Group Van program. SF MTA Essential Trip Card (ETC) is City-funded service offered through SF Paratransit that subsidizes 2-3 round trips by taxi per month for older adults age 65+ and PWD. Eligible participants pay 20% of the cost of a regular cab ride fare for essential trips (e.g., going to grocery store, pharmacy or necessary medical trip) within SF only. After you get your ETC card in the mail, activate and then call Community Living Campaign at 415-821-1003, x125 to get $12/mo. added to ETC. Any remaining funds roll over each month.
SF MTA Shop-a-Round

Shop-a-Round Shuttle: door-to-door prescheduled shared van ride to grocery stores/supermarkets in SF. Cost $2.50 per one-way trip *No additional cost for designated attendant who boards with Paratransit user/RTC card holder. Upon request, Shop-a-Round drivers will offer assistance onto vehicle from entrance of your home/building where you live, carry up to 3 bags of groceries; Shop-a-Round drivers may not enter your home. Eligibility: age 65+; or disabled and have a RTC Discount ID Card; or eligible for ADA Paratransit services. Shop-a-Round Taxi If eligible due to limited availability of shuttle service in applicant’s area, you will be issued an ID card. For every $6 of funds you load, you will receive $30 in card value (up to a max. allotment) which can then be used to pay cost of taxi trips (cost meter rate of SF taxi) to and from select grocery shopping locations. American Cancer Society Road to Recovery 800-227-2345 https://www.cancer.org/support-programs-and-services/patient-transportation.html matches volunteer driver to provide rides to and from cancer-related medical appointments for patients who otherwise might not be able to get there.
Fog City Access is a new rideshare, curb-to-curb service in San Francisco designed for riders with disabilities and mobility needs. Riders will be picked up curbside in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Rides can be booked directly from your phone - by downloading the Fog City Access app (in Apple App Store or via Google Play) or calling customer service at 628-265-5192. Kimochi Door-to-door Transportation Services are offered to seniors who find it difficult or are unable to use public transportation. Staff drive and escort individuals and groups from their homes to Kimochi program sites. Other transportation, including trips to grocery stores and medical appointments, can be arranged. General service area is Japantown, Western Addition, Richmond and Sunset districts. Voluntary contributions per one way trip are requested. Nonmedical transportation (NMT) is transportation by private/public vehicle for people who do not have another way to get to their appointment. Available to people with full-scope Medi-Cal. If receive Medi-Cal through a managed care plan, contact plan’s member service department to request NMT and attest that all other currently available resources have been reasonably exhausted. NMT does not require prior authorization.
When you contact the transportation provider, they will ask you for information about your appointment date and time. You will need to verbally let them know that you do not have any other way to get to your appointment.
